a few piercing questions?

Okay so atm, i have an industrial {or scaffolding} piercing which hurt, quite a bit. i also have started stretching both my ears. I started out at a 3mm {apparently thats like an 8g, which seems way bigger o-o} which hurt like hell. then i put a 4mm {6g} in and it just didn't seem to make a difference to the hole, i could just feel a little bit of pressure, so like 2 days later i put a 6mm {2g} in and that hurt.. alot. and my other ear is still a 3mm. but they're both fine and i clean them twice a day^-^
so im considering a few new piercings. getting second stud piercings on my lobes, my tragus, and a nose piercing.
first question; on second lobe piecings, they just go through the lobe, it doesn't touch any cartilige right?
second; because its just one hole, i'd assume a tragus hurts a little less and takes less time to heal, yeah?
third, im not sure whether to get my septum done or to get just a normal side piercing. in the septum do they go as far up as the cartilige in your nose or is it at the fleshy part? and on the side of your nose, is that just like getting your lobes pierced? cause that didn't really hurt at all..
fourth; do lip piercings only hurt as much lobes? obviously, it'd be a bit more sore and swollen because of talking and eating but, its the initial needle pain i dont like..

i know this isn't a tattoo question but this category just seemed the most fitting..
+sorry for the long question its just i cant find any sites that really answer all these questions!
thanks<3

1.) A lobe piercing doesn't go through cartilage at all.
2.) Tragus is cartilage so no, it won't necessarily heal faster or hurt less. Pain really depends on you and your pain tolerance. My tragus wasn't painful at all, but I also handle pain rather well.
3.) Septum is pierced right below the cartilage. It's called the sweet spot and you can feel it in your nose, it's a soft spot between the cartilage and the outside of your nose. Nostril is thicker and has a more cartilage-y feel than lobes. Once again it really depends on how you handle pain, but mine was semi-painful. Definitely more painful than lobes, but by no means unbearable.
4.) I'm not sure about lip piercing. My friend said it was more painful than lobes, but not by much.
The needle pain is nothing. Yeah it may hurt, but only for the few seconds it takes to pierce whatever you're getting pierced.

I'm pretty sure I can only answer one of your questions...
When they do second lobe piercings, no cartilage gets hit, some cartilage may get hit if you get thirds.

I'll try the other ones...
If you are asking if I think a tragus would hurt less than a scaffold piercing, I think it would hurt about the same. Even though it's only one hole, think about the area getting pierced, sounds like it would hurt.

I think you shouldn't get a septum. The septum is like your nasal cartilage, so it wouldn't hurt that bad, but I just don't like the way it looks. Personally, I'm completely pro-piercings, but that's the only one i just don't like. I've actually heard that septum hurts less than the side because the septum is so thin it goes through really quick.

Ok so as far as lip piercings, I hear that they are about a 6 with ears being a 2, genitals being a 10, and eyebrows being a 1. BUT the healing for lip piercing hurts when it's time to switch out piercings and stuff.

OMG. I worked so effing hard on this, I BETTER get best answer hahaha

Ear lobes don't go through cartilage.
tragus is cartilage, so it takes more time to heal than ear lobes and it hurts just as much. I have heard industrial and tragus are similar, sometimes the tragus hurts more. It takes a little less time to heal but still about 12 weeks and even then it is not completely healed.
Getting your nose pierced is nothing like ear lobes. It is like getting your cartilage pierced on your ear but just a little worse. And I am pretty sure the septum piercing is through the fleshy part which they call the sweet spot.
Lip piercings hurt more than ear lobe piercings. Most all piercings hurt more so you shouldn't keep trying to compare it to ear lobes.

Lobe piercings go just through the lobe. Never seen stretched ears with a second piercing...course now I'll see a dozen of them this weekend.

Tragis--hurts a hell of a lot less than a conch. Both during the piercing and the healing. I'm not sure how long the healing time is as I just got mine a week ago. I assume it's still going to be several months as that is a thick piece of cartlidge (on me).

1. If it is a lobe piercing then it is just on the lobe. Cartilage is a different spot.
2. May hurt a bit less but it depends on you. Healing is about the same, not much shorter time.
3. Do what you want on your nose. But my daughter has 5 piercings on her nose and has had the stud of one of the upper most ones get absorbed by her nose and mucus membrane. Needing her boyfriend to dig it out with a pliers. The higher up you go on your nose the more it hurts but my daughter said not as much as cartilage.
4. Skip the lip piercing, Daughter was told by her dentist she was having serious dental trouble because of hers. Receding gums/gum damage and wearing of her tooth enamel. (Piercers swear it doesn't happen, but it does) She took it out.

My daughter is a piercer at a tattoo shop.
