A few piercing questions?

Okay, so I'm 14 years old (turning 15 in 2 months) and I've already decided I want some sort of facial piercing. Yes, I got permission from my mom to either get a monroe, nose stud, or eyebrow piercing. She kind of got upset and shocked when I mentioned lip rings/snakebites; but thats what I want most.

Here's the album (2 pics) http://s770.photobucket.com/albums/xx344/TheNovaGi...

What kind of piercing(s) do you think would look best? It's between a double lip piercing, snakebites, monroe/madonna, nose stud or eyebrow piercing.

(This might be a silly question, but is it possible to switch between lip rings & studs? I saw someone with studs one day and rings the other. Is it something you can do daily, or a one-time switch?)

I know I said I haven't gotten permission, but I might be able to if I tried.

No, I'm not trying to "go with the flow" and do it because everyone else. Please, don't label me. I've wanted them for a couple years, and decided to wait until I was older & make a decision. I'm not being rebelious, I help at my church often & volunteer, I'm called a very kind person, I want to do it because I love them & we only have one life to live, so I want to enjoy it.

I also get that a lot of companies don't like piercings on their employees, but I'm probably going to be self-employed. If not, I'll deal with it then.

Thank you soo much for reading. :]

Update:

If you give me a REALLYYY good reason (And not just "don't be like everyone else") I might decide to not get any piercings. But it has to be really good. =P

I think you'd be absolutely adorable with snakebites. You have a nice lip shape for them. A monroe or madonna would be cute, as well, but I would suggest straying from a nosering, because everyone has them, and I don't think an eyebrow piercing would suit your face.

You can absolutely switch between rings and studs in your lips, as you can switch between a ring and stud in your nose, and a ring or barbell in your bellybutton, and so on.

If your mother is willing to let you get your piercings, then I'd say get them. When you're older and looking for a job, you can buy clear, bioplast retainer studs to wear in your piercings, and they'll hardly be noticible. Also, by that time, you'd probably have the ability to just not wear the piercings for your shift. In the future, you might get rid of your piercing, so there's not really much to worry about with that.

    Enjoy your piercing!

To answer your question, yes you can switch between lip rings and studs, just wait until your piercing heals all the way or else it could get infected. I think that a Monroe would look the best on you. I love piercings they are good way to express yourself without it being permanent. Im 15and have had my nose pierced since I was 14 and as soon as I get my braces off im going to get a lip stud. :)

Personally, Don't get a monroe, they look trashy.

Snake bites look good on most people.

You could also get spider bites, They looks pretty sweet.

Yes you can change from ring to stud, But you have to wait about 4-6 week after you have been pierced for it to heal. But then you can change it whenever you want, Hourly if you really want.

And just remember the thing about piercings, You might not want to be labeled, But there are so many old fashioned people around these days its very hard not to be labeled or judged.

I get told all the time "Your piercing looks horrible" "Why would you do that?" "Doesnt that hurt?"

But I just disregard that and think of them a weak and closed minded.

And don't think your church will like them either. They will most likely hate them and advise you to take them out.

I also got fired by my boss (who is very old fashioned) for having piercings, so be careful about that ****.

Personally, I think you should get them, you can always simply just take them out if anything happens right?

I have been through many piercings and I just take them out and get new ones when I feel like it to change it up and when I get sick of them.

But yeah go nuts. But try not to get more than 3.

I think you can rock an eyebrow piercing :)

    You're really pretty =P

I'm not a big fan of snake bites, monroes, or nose studs but the double lip may look very nice on you.

Also, it's possible to switch from ring to stud on a daily basis although it may irritate your piercing. Just make sure you sanitize the jewelry before inserting it.

    Good luck :)

P.S. It's good that you are being yourself. I hate the idea of conforming to society too =P

I think you should get the monroe piercing. & screw what any one says.

i reallyyyy want the snake bite too but i'm a bit worried about jobs.

its not too much of a problem, but if and when you decide you want to get a job for after school or the summer, all you need to do is go to a hot topic store and buy the clear/rubbery 'plugs' basically. its like a stud but clear so that you can wear at work.

and once your piercing is fully healed, you can switch between studs and rings whenever you want.

and sweetie, you don't have to explain to anyone on why you want a facial piercing. :)

Monroe piercings can be switched as desired between rings and studs, the piercing is done straight but fairly bendy regardless of what you usually have in it. Just don't change the jewelry too soon, and cause irritation it will slow healing. Make sure you like what your pierced with, your stuck with it until your healed. Your piercer should do your first jewelry change to show you how to properly do it without injuring the skin.

i'm enormously specific i will in basic terms answer certainly one of your questions... while they do 2d lobe piercings, no cartilage gets hit, some cartilage would get hit in case you get thirds. i will attempt the different ones... in case you're asking if i think of a tragus would harm under a scaffold piercing, i think of it might harm bearing directly to an analogous. in spite of the actuality that that is in basic terms one hollow, think of bearing directly to the section getting pierced, sounds like it might harm. i think of you mustn't get a septum. The septum is like your nasal cartilage, so it does no longer harm that undesirable, yet I do only unlike the way it seems. individually, i'm thoroughly professional-piercings, yet it is the only one i do only unlike. i've got relatively heard that septum hurts under the section because of the fact the septum is so skinny it is going by way of relatively rapid. ok so so some distance as lip piercings, I pay attention that they seem to be some 6 with ears being a 2, genitals being a ten, and eyebrows being a a million. however the healing for lip piercing hurts while it's time to swap out piercings and stuff. OMG. I worked so effing confusing in this, I greater ideal get terrific answer hahaha :)

Personally I don't like lip piercings but that's just my preference. It all depends on what you like and think will look the best on you. For me i liked got my nose pierced because it thought i would look the best on me. My friend got snake bites because she really likes them. It's all about what you want and what you think is the most beautiful. I love my nose piercing and i would recommend doing it to anyone but do what it right for you.

    Good luck!
