Rooney is NOT better than Messi?

I cant believe people are comparing Rooney to messi.I mean for crying out loud have you seen the way messi fools and skips past defenders, he is a magician with the ball at his feet,so talented he is in a different league of his own.Then on the other hand Rooney who has been so inconsistent last season only 11 goals in the premier league,and the way you have to feed the ball to him and he still misses , the only good goalscoring season he has had was 2009-2010 two years ago when he scored 26 goals in the premier league only.Otherwise he has scored under 15 goals in the premier league for 5 years? his Sportsmanship is awful aswell.

you dont understand football if you compare the two as the same type of player. each have different styles of play, messi is finesse and rooney uses strength and power and likes to drop deep and create for his teammates primarly. both are exceptional and messi definitely stars more than rooney.

Football is not about scoring goals and skipping through defenders.

It's more about "teamwork".

Rooney is not as self-centered as Messi. He is more of a team player. Last season, he didn't score much goals. But, you must be blind to ignore his assists that created too many goals for other players.

If football is not about teamwork, Messi would have been doing well in Argentina.
