??? 56K modem question.....?

I have a Diamond 56K Supra Express modem and can't find a program to download to my computer that has Windows 7 so that I can use this modem. Is there another program that I could use, like one for Win 98 or something? My computer says that it doesn't recognize the hardware. Someone said this modem is only for dial-up. Is that true or are they a doofas?

Yeah, HEY RUDE ANSWR,,,,,,,,, that's just what I like about it, it's a USB connection for power but phone/modem for in/out line. What am I doing wrong that my computer doesn't recognize it as something instead of not recognized?

That is a dialup modem. USB? If it is USB Win 7 should recognize it.

If you were thinking of using it for broadband, just throw it away. I wouldn't give a $1 for it in a yard sale.

56K is dialup, windows 7 likely does not have drivers for this...you should really think about getting a new modem, a second hand $1 modem would be better...so long as you can get broadband that is

Yea this does look Dial-up, your connection probably can't support it... plus its very old, your better off getting a new one, and no you don't want windows 98...
