I've got this memory card here, and its limits are 2gb. However, i can't save anymore than 1.83gb. is it because of the flotsam from deleted files? Is it possible for me to cleanse and utilise this space? I neeeeed new songs :( thanks peeps

It is perfectly normal to only find storage space of approx. 1.85GB on a 2GB memory card.
All you can do to utilise the space is to convert your music to a lower bitrate (128kb for example) with something like dBpoweramp:

You will never be able to use the full two GBs, some memory must be used for formatting, etc...
