Is it true that North Carolina is one of those states where, every time the governor declares a state of...?

emergency, all concealed-carry licenses are cancelled?

Cancelled - bad word choice. More like suspended.

Well, not cancelled per say. But whenever she declares a state of emergency, we aren't allowed to CCW off our own property anymore. It is a largely ignored piece of legislature that Grass Roots NC is trying to change, they have been successful in other laws being changed, this one is a tough nut to crack.

To anyone who supports that law, you have to think of it this way. If you do need to leave your property, you should still have the right to protect yourself. There are several people who get panicky during things like this. Some of them will carry whether the law allows it or not. Same for criminals. Now we have a law that, once again, disarms people who are mentally sound and willing to obey the law, and leaving the only ones with guns will be the unbalanced and criminal types. That is why this gun law and gun laws like it need to go away. Never mind the constitution (I know, a crazy statement), these laws don't even make common sense. These laws put good people in danger, and protect the criminals and crazies.

* Only if you don't believe in, and exercise the U. S. Constitution, and particularly the 2nd Amendment.* Your Right to Protect, and Defend Yourself against bodily injury, or death does not ever end, or stop just because any Governor declares a State of Emergency, or for any other reason at anytime .* " Ridiculous "...Gun Permits, and Gun Laws are Unlawful, Unconstitutional, Invalid, and illegal because under the U. S. Constitution the Federal Government was never authorized, or empowered to, or had a duty to make, or Legislate, or require any Gun Permits, or Gun Laws under Article 1 section 8 of the U. S. Constitution.* ..." Keep Freedom Alive; Resist Tyranny."... Live Free or Die.*

No mention of open carry, and might be useful as a deterrent during an SoE, but that is still a huge load of liberal BS.

Haven't heard anything about that. It's news to me. If true, perhaps we can get that changed if we kick Perdue out of office next year. She's worthless.
