Do You Think of Life's Cycle?

the droplets of rain
hanging from the pine tree
glistening with life
for what's needed below
the blessed cycle of
nourishing liquid from
sky to earth to all

another cycle
in one little day
we take for granted
will return again
the cycle, the pattern, the day,
the life will
come again
we assume.

Yowee so good in how you presented it, and its relevance, I'm glad I got to read.

Um not to change your thought at all, and no offense meant, please know. As I began this, I thought these lines, but just my thoughts OK, Yikes.

Droplets of rain
cling, destined to fall
from long needles
of the tall Pine.

Just sayin sweets, don't dare change yer own thing for me.

It's there, beautiful as you say - that's why I think that Alpha said that it's female. He's referring to a tangent in philosophy and theology that the 'female' accepts things (like a vagina) where as the 'male' doesn't reject things but has a tendency to desire change of sorts (like penetration).

We’re not so particular in what we say:
Woman takes a thousand steps to get her way.
But no matter how quickly she can hurry on,
With just one leap the man will get it done.

-From Goethe’s 'Faust'

They're both the same imo - both take what it is and change it in some way or place it under scrutiny. Judging it to be right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. Apparently a female finds the spontaneous reality more acceptable and the male does not? It's a touch silly but has application in classification... Anyway.

I like what Edward Hopper said: “The whole answer is there on the canvas.”

There is so much to remind us of the cycles of life, rebirth, etc. in nature. Liked your opening image a lot.

Yes, Shirley, I do think of it....
for a day
a week
a year
a decade
a lifetime
and I pray I don't take any of it, not
a moment of it
for granted.

I loved the message in your poem.
Thank you for sharing it.

Many times it's like a unicycle with bent and missing spokes.
The tire may be flat also.Nice poem. Thanks
