What is/was the hardest part of learning astrology for you?
I had a tough time learning about the degrees of the zodiac. It took me years to understand how aspects work in a natal chart. I had to learn the hard way that you have to understand the degrees in order to understand the aspects! Very confusing!
@ icecream Got to agree with you as I am looking for a no nonsense site with the bottom line solid and genuine. And understandable! Keep looking plz.
@Libra Empress Since you figured out Aquarius will you explain "me" to "me?" lol We Aquarius folks are different that's for sure. And there are astrologers that specialize in finding House Positions for those without an exact birth time but they are expensivie. Ch-ching for sure. LIke you I studied my signs first too. You can glean alot of information without "proper" house cusps.
@ Serenity the books I read are still being used today although I know there are plenty of new books on astrology out there. My 2nd husband sold my books but that is when I began to have my "own" opinion about astrological meanings. Very freeing.
@ Intensified Moon you amaze me as I HAD to learn to do the calculations for "drawing" a natal chart over 30 yrs ago.. I just followed the ephermeris directions but had no clue what I was actually doing, but was able to make a chart that was correct. So to heck with the math. I too am working on the interpretation as "making sentences" was hard for me big-time. Would have skipped that math if at all possible as it was like Cracking the DaVinci Code to me! Except it was HARDER! lol
@ Forgotten- That is exactly what I want to do but not sure exactly "how" to go about teaching others in a simple non-confusing way about what took me so long to learn. Would like to set up a blog or something and explain SIMPLY what so many enshroud in archaic language as if they DON'T want one to understand. Good point and any ideas would be gratefully appreciated. Because I too memorized all the details but putting them all together in an understandable way is the "true art" of astrology. Thanks for your input so much.
