Comcast cancellation / resubscription?
I've done the dance trying to get the new subscription rate. I got a small reduction but nothing like the $29/month for 12 months that is currently offered. Can I cancel and resubscribe?
Here is what I know:
You can if you cancel and wait 60 days. Anything less is a subscription.
But in the case where I change the billing to my wife or my son, how would they know? I know they know the location, the last 4 digits of the social.
In the case of say a divorce, they should allow an account change without the waiting period? Or
say roomates who disconnect or take over an account? They should be eligible for the
discount?
And if you self install, you avoid the $50 install charge but you do have to surrender and reinstall
all your equipment.
I am just tired of them not rewarding any time of loyalty to their crap service, giving service like HD or the QVC channel or on demand that I don't want or need. I'd take stinking basic cable if I could. (they forced digital last year, so I had to install DTAs and pay for THAT already.
Yeah, we can't get Verizon FIOS or AT&T U-verse.
The only option would be like DirectTV. The problem is that we have Tivos or getting Tivo like DVR support is going to be about the same as Comcast. At least I am trying to total up the bill.
If someone has can tell me how much is base DirectTV and how much to add each DVR (we need at least 3, our TIvos might or might not work). I think that is at least $4.99 for the mirror service or how much per month is the DVR service per box.
Another negative is that we live where weather can be inclimate. Do DirectTV users see a drop when it is snowing?
