We live in the bristol ct area so we are hoping it is close by there since our family is from this area also. we have a low budget and can't seem to find a venue to have the ceremony and reception at the same place...any ideas?

In Connecticut a Justice of The Peace can perform a wedding . My suggestion is to find a JP that will do the ceremony at a catering hall such as American Legion ,VFW , or similar place .Just my thought , I am sure there will be other suggestions . Good luck and have a happy marriage .

There are so many inexpensive restaurants on RT 6, I am sure you can find a place to rent you a room and cater the wedding at a nominal fee.

Look into the parks and recreation department in your area and see if they have facility rentals on site. I'm in NY and found a facility this way that costs $350 to rent and includes tables and chairs as well as a full kitchen we can use.
