It might help a little just to wear a T-shirt outside. I don't get cold very easily though. I don't think you'll catch a cold just from wearing a T-shirt in the cold. I would just wear whatever makes you comfortable. Maybe you won't get cold as easily later on in the winter, because it really is just the beginning of winter. But just wear what you feel is best. If it's cold don't just wear a T-shirt and freeze wear something that makes you comfortable.
