There is nothing wrong with masturbating, unless it is becoming addictive, If you feel you are "wanking" too much then you need to stop it, only you can do it, with will power. I had the same problem and i used to do it about twice a say, now i am down to five times a week.

They are a lot of things to do to keep yourself from masturbating. But as for me, there is nothing wrong with that if you keep on masturbating because I find it very pleasurable and healthy as well. I masturbate 5 times a week and I don't care what other say about it. I just find myself very healthy. But since, you are troubled with that, try to keep your mind off of it by doing things like traveling, watching movies or going out with your friends a lot. Read educational and inspirational books or write novels during your free time. I hope these helps.

Will-power is great, until it fails. And it will fail. The only way to stop masturbating is to ask God to help you. See here: www.chastity.com
Also, you need to do other activities - sports, hobbies, etc... to fill your time. Reading is good, as is school-work, and also socialising with good friends. Take up birdwatching or get a pet dog or something.
See what some wise saints have to say:
Lust indulged became habit, and habit unresisted became necessity."
- St. Augustine
"There is need for a crusade of manliness and purity to counteract and nullify the savage work of those who think man is a beast. And that crusade is your work."
- St. Josemaria Escriva
"Holy Purity is granted by God when it is asked for with humility."
- St. Josemaria Escriva
"'Purity?' they ask. And they smile. They are the ones who go on to marriage with worn-out bodies and disillusioned souls."
- St. Josemaria Escriva
"Don't say, 'That's the way I am-its my character.' It's your lack of character. Esto vir!-Be a man!"
- St. Josemaria Escriva

The best thing is that first you find some books, novels etc of your choice or some movies, music . At night just read or watch the same stuff until you feel sleepy. It will help.
