So I left my phone in my pocket i guess and it went into the washing machine and it works now but will it be fine or die later? because can't some phones work after getting wet but then die soon after? and thanks in advance :)

The first thing I would do after removing the battery is to run warm water over the inside of the phone for 5 minutes to thoroughly rinse out the soap which can be detrimental to the phone. THEN do the rice trick. It may take days.

You need to try Silica Gel Packets to dry out your phone. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry a wet cell phone, iPods, or any electronics. You need to place your phone in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google "Silica Gel Packets" and you will find several companies selling these products. There is also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.com that has them.

It might be ok but open up the back cover if there is one and leave the phone and the back cover in a bowl of rice thats isn't cooked. The water comes out of it and the rice soaks it up. Hope this works :)

Turn it off immediately. Then take apart as many pieces as you can and dry off each of them as thoroughly as you can. Put the pieces in some rice (rice sticks work too) and leave them sitting for at least 12 hours or so.
