Had an eye doctor appointment set up for yesterday but......?

They said that I maxed out all 18 visits *for all doctors* for the year until July. But, we called my insurance company ACCESS/ACCESS Plus and they said there's a form the eye dr.'s office could fax to them online. The dr.'s office wouldn't do that. Just declined to check my pressure in my bad eye. I have Glaucoma. They even hung up on my mom. Horrible customer/patient service!!!!

I think they should have done the paperwork and seen me yesterday. Right??

don't get me started about dr's offices!
what i would do is call your insurance company back and give them the eye dr's phone number and ask them to call on your behalf and ask for the form to be faxed cuz the dr's office was rude and refused to do it for you.
the insurance company will most likely do this for you.
its wrong for them to not check your eye pressure when you have glaucoma. honestly i would say f you to them and find a new dr after this is over.

i would read your contract/papers on your insurance company to see how many visits you were allowed to have. And they should have told you how many you can have..seems odd to me only allowed so many.
dont count on any doctor faxing anything to the insurance company that wont benefit them money wise, your form didnt count.
after you read the contract and it never stated how many visits your allowed to have, see a lawyer and sue.
the get a different eye doctor and write a bad review on him/her..
insurance companies stink..all they want mostly is your money, and when payout time comes for you, then its a hastle
all else fails, wait until july , start over, but try to get plenty of supply of what you need before the next 18 visits

Yes, i would say it was horrible service. I would think that they would fill out the paper work for the money. If it was me i would just find another doctor.

I think yes too. Look other doctor. Avoid them.
