Why am I never turned on..?

Now before we go any further, this all could be just coz I'm a virgin. Kay.

I'm 17. Female. I have had a boyfriend before but the farthest we got to being physical was making out. I was barely turned on by him. In fact, I'm barely turned on by anything. I'm not on birth control. I do find women attractive and I know I would be fine being in a relationship with a girl. But I'm still not really turned on by them. Is it just coz I'm a virgin and don't know what it's like yet?

I've had a thing in my past that could have caused me to, for lack of a better word, fear sexual contact. My cousin sexually assaulted me when I was 5 and I literally couldn't remember it until I was about 12 or 13. Could that be it? :/ sah confused.

No, I haven't gone to any counselor's about it because I never really thought about it at the time. And I graduated last year, so I don't have free counselling anymore. :/

Being sexually assaulted absolutely can cause sexual and emotional disturbances that can last for years. You really need professional help. Talk to your school counselor; they can get you in contact with someone who can help you. Do this now, while you can get free or low-cost counseling. If you wait too long, the opportunity for this free help will go away. You'll still need help, you'll just have to pay for it.

yes it could be because ur a virgin and dont know what sex feels like with a guy or girl. maybe u need to be single and experiment with both sex to see what you like and dont like. yes the thing that happened to u cud have caused it also have u talked to a councelor about it?
