Is anyone else concerned by Obama's comments in the speech last night....?

about how the Executive branch is "inefficient, outdated and remote" and how he"asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy, so that our government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people"? This tells me he wants Congress to grant him the power to be the ultimate authority for this country, and thus, bypassing Congress and totally going against the Constitution. Could this be the beginning of the end for liberty and our personal freedoms?

Sorry, I don't come to the same conclusion.
I don't think Congress is going to grant such powers to anyone.
Actually isn't this the same thing Paul keeps preaching?

No.

If I was paranoid and did not truly understand the limits of power as defined by the US Constitution (and Obama did not say ANYTHING that challenged the Constitution) then I might agree with you. But I just don't.

I was more concerned by how Obama's State of the Union Address was entirely for political gain and geared toward his campaign and ignoring anything remotely negative.
