Is it possible to tweak i-player so that it downloads tracks in order?

I use i-player for ripping CDs for transfer to my MP3 player etc. It annoys me that it always orders the tracks in some order best known to itself when I would rather they were in the order on the CD. This also happens when I just want to play a CD on my computer. I have looked through preferences to see if there is any way I can alter this, but cannot find anything. Am I missing something, is this an irritation I just have to live with?

Thanks del, but I'm still in the dark. I've just ripped (as it was to hand) a CD of Mendelssohn's Octet. I-tunes, in its ineffable wisdom, shows these in track order 3-4-2-1. I can find no way, under edit or otherwise, of altering this numbering, other than dragging the tracks into the right order. Oh, I've been playing around under sort album and have managed to get them into the right order...perhaps this is what you meant

When you have the tracks of a CD that you have ripped on the iTunes screen and examine the details under the 'Name' heading, the track SHOULD be labelled complete with numbers that ensure the tracks are played in the right order (eg 1 - Allegro moderato; 2 - Adagio, etc). However, if there are no numbers you can slowly double-click the 'Name' listing and add a number at the beginning through the editing facility. The tracks will play in numerical order thereafter. If you are numbering more than 9 tracks, remember to start with '01', '02', etc.
