Good ways to work out my core?

I have back problems, and was told that if I strengthen my core, they should go away eventually. What daily exercises would be good for this purpose? Also, I'd prefer if I didn't need any gym equipment to do them. I'm 5'2 and around 100 pounds, if that helps.

Generally don't do aerobic exercise ie: Crunnches, situps, pullups theyll bore you to tears. I recommend cardiovascular exercise such as jogging, running, ect...
