Is the medicinal value of pot diminished, when people who think they NEED it don't really NEED it?
Marijuana has a place for cancer and major pain management, but people claim they need it for back pain, diabetes or stress. Seriously? If people want to legitimize and legalize pot, shouldn't we discourage people from saying it's for medicinal purposes when that's clearly a cop out?

I personally see pot as only a medicinal. Why? I'm not a doc, but I do think a lot of people say they take it for medicinal purposes, as an excuse to just get high. Get high, I don't care, but don't lie that you smoke it because you claim you have some serious medical condition that most people function with without having to drink or get high.

Dont see anyone here answering but potheads, although I understand that some people are given an Rx from their Doctors for pain. Been through some pretty bad pain myself a few times, and I would hate to think what it would have been like without something to control it some. However, everyone that drinks, smokes abuse Rx drugs or other forms all think that they need it. Self medication for whatever reason is ill advised and destructive, no matter how you try to justify it.
And your medical degree says what? In other words, who are you to decide whether, why, or who needs marijuana?
What about the prescription meds that ARE killing people? Marijuana has never killed anyone. People shouldn't he able to pop pain pills, anti anxiety pills, or anti depressants when marijuana could solve the issue without the side effects.
Eta: BTW I'm not a pothead as the poster rockinba.... Seems to think. Just a person with common sense.
pot helps everything i love how easy it was to get my medical license it literally took me 10 min to get approved.yeah its dumb thats its so easy to get and they should just make it %100 legal but for now as long as i can carry 2 ounces of pot on me legally at all times i will be happy.
