I'm having trouble finding a really good monologue about eating disorders that I connect with. If you know of any, please let me know. I'm really interested in reading "The Orange," which I'm pretty sure is by Joyce Carol Oates, but I can't find the text anywhere online. If you have the text for that, that would be excellent. It's a for a Drama Therapy showcase. Thank you!

I have an ED.. I wouldn't recommend trying to put it into words at all. It will be next to impossible; people who have not experienced it, cannot understand it. This is not a bad thing, it is life. If you haven't experienced cancer, a poem is not really going to help you understand what it's like, you know? It is not necessarily about understanding.. she just needs to accept, listen, and help you when you need it. She just needs to be there.
