Credit rating of foreigners with assets abroad?

I wonder what my credit rating in the U.S. or Canada would be. I'm thinking about temporarily moving there, to find a rental property and maybe for an internship. So I would not have a North American credit rating. I do have assets in Europe, though (two rental apartments). Would these be counted as assets? And at what price, since they are appraised in Euros?

You would have zero credit in the US, no matter what you have overseas.

Note that the only way to do what you want to do is to be sponsored by a US employer.

If you need to rent a place in the US, just pay 6 months rent upfront.
Take bank statements, as a security measure.
Since you are not a professional and don't even know if you will have a job, you may have to pay 1 years rent upfront.
