does anyone know if I can install a?

the microsoft office (small business) program for windows xp (I believe it is for windows 98) will install on windows 7.
Reason I ask is this, I just got a new tower and the temp office program will shut down in 30 days and I have the discs for the 98 office program which came with the tower I previously had.

I think you can. Windows 7 is supposed to be compatible with the old Windows OSs. Some apps just may not be compatible with Windows' 7 Aero Theme..

Do NOT use that version. On current systems it is totally unstable. It also can not handle later versions of the documents. There is the free cmplete office suite from http://libreoffice.org which can edit all Microsoft types of documents and can create documents and save them as Micorsoft types for use by people using Microsoft Office.
