Alas it is. In fact, it's also acceptable to cosplay your own characters. I say go for it. No one at AN will mind, and if some one does, then they are most likely just a jerk. You can wear what you want to anime north. People would probably ask you what you are or from what anime your from and if you say your nott from any anime they're gonna be like wtf.
