Why are atheists so vocally against creation, if creation is compatible with evolution?

Creation isn't, & What is sad is that Christians are falling into this Trap and trying to fit evolution into the Bible (Theistic Evolution) thinking they can make it fit.

Lee Stroble in his video listed below “ The Case for the Creator” stated (5 min. 28 sec into the video) The Case for a Creator
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=688111496234161611#
That “There is no way you can Harmonize Neo Darwinism with Christianity, I could never understand Christians who would say “ Well I believe in God yet I believe in Evolution as well” You see Darwin’s idea about the development of life led to his theory that modern science now generally defines as an undirected process completely devoid of any purpose or plan,”. Now how could God direct an undirected process? How could God have purpose in a plan behind a system that has no plan and no purpose? It just does not make sense.
It didn’t make sense to me in 1966 and it doesn’t make sense to me now.
The Apostle Paul wrote to His Son Timothy stating that “ in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, [because] they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn [their] ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

Those Christians who believe in evolution have no idea how that effects their theology.
What is theistic evolution?

Eternity is a Long Time to be wrong about this

If creation is true, then there is a Creator to whom we are accountable. Evolution is an enabler for atheism. Evolution gives atheists a basis for explaining how life exists apart from a Creator God. Evolution denies the need for a God to be involved in the universe. Evolution is the “creation theory” for the religion of atheism. According to the Bible, the choice is clear. We can believe the Word of our omnipotent and omniscient God, or we can believe the illogically biased, “scientific” explanations of fools.

Go ahead and thumbs me down, I already know most of you are ignorant and won't stand listening to anything that makes a hint of sense.

Anyways, I am a Christian. I believe in a slight version of the big bang theory. I don't believe the full blown evolution that I have a feeling you were talking about in the question but I do believe in minor evolutions. I believe in minor evolution because that is the only type of evolution that anyone has EVER been able to prove. There really is NO proof that evolution is fact.

@Chris Christie the fat guy-
Evolution is not proven through fossils. If you claim that it is either one you have never researched "Darwins Dilemma" or two, you are just plain ignorant. When Darwin was excavating at the sight of the Cambrian explosion he wasn't able to find the proof he was looking for to prove his evolutionary theories. Before he started he claimed that with all the fossils that his team had found they would be able to prove his evolutionary theories. When he didn't find them he dug deeper. When he still couldn't find the proof he needed he started to doubt nearly ALL of his studies. Everything, all of his theories about creation and evolution was supposed to be proved after finding a couple of fossils. Because of that almost all of his theories could not be proved. Also, not only did Darwin never find the fossil proof he was looking for, but no one has even until this day. The evidence just isn't there.

(I'm not trying to be stubborn or disrespectful to you or what you believe, but in my opinion there really just isn't any good evidence. I'm also not saying that what I believe has undeniable proof, but again, in my own opinion it has more evidence then the theory of evolution. A couple of examples would be "finding the ark" and "locating the tower of babel". You should take a deeper look into some of the biblical findings and try to come to a personally conclusion after you know a little bit more about some of the findings. I wouldn't have said what I did if I didn't feel like I knew enough about the subject of evolution to think that it was invalid or anything. I would wish you would do the same with some biblical findings.

Religious Creation is NOT compatible with Evolution.

Blessings Z4H, As I read down and observe the many evidently youthful people here defending evolution one thing frightens me here...The fact that most of these people can't even defend their education and knowledge of evolution while using proper grammar tells me that they have absorbed much of their "so called" knowledge without even investigating for themselves and/or testing the facts that God makes so evident..As for me, if I can prove the existence of God in my life then I am confident that everything else that produces success in my life is only more evidence that God exists and all that he supports through his WORD in the Bible is evidence of his existence and desires for us all..

The fact that when I stray away from God and Word I find my life down spiraling in such a noted and rapid degree and way that it is very hard to ignore and not accept as truth and fact..

When I see the deplorable way schools and colleges are weeding out those who are ineducable and illiterate , it really saddens and frightens me to no end. I can only be thankful and grateful that many here are educable and knowledgeable to see beyond the accepting of what the schools dish out and allow out into the world.

*Facepalm*

It is NOT compatible.

Creationism has no evidence, evolution does. And they contradict eachother.
