Why do politicians have a bad reputation?

Considering the world has radically democratized since the 1800's, why is there almost universal contempt for politicians?

It doesn't matter if the world is more democratic. Any and all systems of government will always become corrupt, and sadly it seems like a democracy is one of the easiest systems for corruption to enter. I'm not saying democracy isn't the best system (because it really is) but politicians today are so obsessed with money and power and that't all they really care about. Republican, democrat....it doesn't matter. They're all the same lying, filthy, dirt bags who are paid to screw you, me, and every other average American.

They are evil and only care if they get money while others suffer a person to them is nothing more then a walking pay check.

There are many reason's why people hate them the biggest would be the hunt for warriors when they first began taking power around 1680 or around their they put the plan ahead to destroy and exile warriors from the world.

They knew that warriors the true peacekeepers wouldn't stand for their corrupt government and would fight them till the end it took 100 years or so for them to kill and exile all warriors that stood against them. And many more reasons.

They've become Business men. Not politicians.

Because they are pusillanimous.
What kind of man would aspire to be a politician

because they aren't crapping doing much and are a bit corrupt, and are trying to get more money, the possibilities on why we hate them are endless
