Is the feeling of being in control one of the biggest rushes a person can experience?

Independent of whether one really IS in control or not, which is a whole discussion in itself.

Such is the seduction and fruits of the sin of Pride!
The belief in 'free-will/choice' is it's primary manifestation!
The 'feelings' are excellent, though quite transient. 'Feelings' come and go regularly. 'Feelings' are 'thoughts'.

if in fact this is an s&m question i would emphatically say no. i am a guy and some control while some submission to the one you love, is the most exciting.

but as far as other things, oh heck yeah. think about what money can do for people. it is plain and simple power. think about the thrill of driving or even using a computer. it gives some enjoyment because one feels as though they are able to control something outside of themselves for betterment/entertainment or a purpose that will lead to even greater opportunities.

a sense of pride and accomplishment comes from percieved control. where as being out of control can prove exciting ie roller coaster etc., but it lacks in a way because no choices or control is done by the individual once it is underway.

No, not unless you're a control freak...I can think of bigger rushes like letting out a sports car.

no, it's not easy to control, it's too tiresome to hold power, and manage to keep the position is too exhaustive. but some people are energetic and hardworking.

yes, if it's self control. when you rest or being asleep, it's too great to be comfortable. self control is too great this way. when we lack self control due to inability to calm ourselves, we are restless and psychologically stressed.

it is a just a state of the mind...you could say that then something or someone else can give you a bigger rush
