Introducing older sibling to newborn?
Is it a better idea to introduce older sibling at the hospital or is it a better approach to introduce both of them at home?

I introduced mine at the hospital. My daughter was super excited. We had been telling her all about the baby in mommys tummy since we found out. We found out while I was pregnant that he'd have a bilateral cleft lip as well and showed her pictures of other babies abd explained it and she did well with the info. When she saw him all she saw was a baby.
It's probably better to do it at the hospital. That way you can tell the older sib that you AND the baby will be home soon and be a good helper and help daddy prepare/clean up for the baby. This gives the child a sense of responsibility as well as informing them that the baby will be coming home to stay.
I don't know what the other person was talking about regarding their privates. ???? This doesn't need to be discussed right away. I told my daughter the baby was a boy and she said ok and that sufficed for her.

Do it at the hospital so that the older sibling is aware of where the newborn has come from. If it is done at the house, the older sibling may not understand and may see the new child as an intruder into what they are used to and comfortable with.
