Pokemon White/Black: How to increase the probability of breeding 'shiny' Pokémon?

I have researched different ways to increase the probability of breeding shiny pokémon. I found quite a lot of information, however, everything I found had been argued back in forth. I am looking for reliable information on different tactics to make shiny Pokémon breeding more common in eggs.

I have read debates on these following techniques and I would like to know if any of these are true or not:
-Using a Ditto from GTS (global trade) in a different language version of the game.
-A Ditto/female holding Bright-powder in the Day-care.
-A Ditto/female holding Lax incense in the Day-care.
-Two shiny Pokémon in the Day-care.
-Using the Pokéradar. (Please explain how.)
-Running in the wild, and finding a chain of one species of wild Pokémon. (example: finding 40 Pikachu in a row will increase the chances. Assume it relates to the Pokéradar somehow.)

Please help me by providing insight, and including sources would be appreciated as well! Thank you in advance!

Breeding two pokemon from different region games increases probability by to 1/2,048 from 1/8,192. Holding those items has no effect. The parents being shiny is irrelevant.

The last two are a combined effort. You can use the pokeradar to increase you chances of getting a shiny. The more you defeat in a chain the more likely a shiny will appear by 40 until the chances are 1/256. This method is very difficult to master.

If you are playing Black and White, the Masuda Method is the way to go. The Masuda Method is placing two pokemon from different language versions of the game in the pokemon center together. This will put you chances of breeding a shiny at aroun 1 in 1600. People mention ditton because of its ability to breed with almost anything. I currently have a Korean ditto with a volcarona. I have yet to get a shiny.
The consecutive pokemon encounter you mention works in diamond/pearl/platinum and utilizes the pokeradar.

Using ditto (GTS) is the best way. I think the other ones are not true...
