Alot of people say pot is safe but maybe there is more to it.... New study By Duke Univerysity and Kings College London shows persistent pot usage lowers IQ, particularly if you started smoking in your teens. It also noted attention and memory problems. And quitting smoking it did not lead to recovering intellectual function.
This study tested the same group of people starting at age 13 until they were 38 years old periodically testing them.
Which is why the legalization will have age laws not allowing any one under the age of 21 to purchase and smoke marijuana. I know that teens that smoke weed are not JUST smoking weed. They are popping pills, snorting drugs, injecting poisons into their body. Contributing to their low iq, and "dumba*sness" if you understand. Those kids were stupid to begin with and could of chosen to pay attention and soak in all the knowledge and information they could. Marijuana helped my focus and kept my train of thought during hard times of studying, tabs extremely hard times in my life. It helped with my HORRIBLE anxiety and insomnia. I can not deal with pills. I can not deal with man made chemicals being put into my body. I used marijuana, it helped me a lot. I no longer need to use it to balance my anger and anxiety. I am very calm and I learn every day of my life.
The way I see your link is, let's test a bunch of teenage party animals and check their intelligence periodically to see how stupid they'll get. Alcohol does brain damage and so does all the other drugs found at a party. They can not specify the cause of some ones low iq is marijuana unless they know 100% the ONLY drug they used was marijuana.
Ive never ever seen weed effect someone poorly. If anything I've seen out help people who other wise would be in extreme pain. They need to just legalize it, which would result in a great crop that can be used for more then recreational purposes and would give us more jobs available plus there would be more happy people out there. Alcohol hurts more people than weed ever has but it's legal....there just needs to be rules and boundaries like an age limit for posession and use of the drug and a limit on the amount you can have at one given time.
The state can earn extremely some taxes with it even as legalizing it. i imagine this can be very valuable. by the way, consistent intake of alcohol is way extra risky than consistent cumption of marijuana.
