You got it. He saw how Obama galvinized his audience as keynote speaker in 2004 and learned that is his ticket to the White House. He gave a whiz bang Republican speech to outdo Mittens because he expects Obama to win, and then he can run in 2016.

Wondered about that myself, problem for me is that he seemed to be reading off the teleprompter and looked up at Romney more than once. As if to ask, "You sure about this". Not the Christie I expected.
Calculated attempt by RNC to make him the pitbull for the rest of the election?
I'll be watching with interest.

i think so..they have some strong people in 2016..and if romney wins..they wont run..likewise for democrats it will be harder to win in 16 with obama winning..no matter how he does..just the way it works..it is hard to keep the same party in the whitehouse after 8 years
