I know pretty much nothing about the PC version of MineCraft. I know the basics of the game from the Xbox 360 version, but I would really like to play on a FREE, safe server, without having to join forums, or factions, or anything like that. Thanks in advance!

If you already have a cracked client, you just need to find a cracked server (one that allows non-premium accounts to connect)
I'm an Admin on one... Arsonic is stable and friendly - no need to join a Faction, and the forum is optional.
Several maps connected with portals:
Anarchy - griefing, stealing, and pvp allowed.
Civilized - none of these allowed - Admin will roll back damage and ban griefers.
ShopWorld - Library for enchanting, Hotel with rooms for new players, Shop plots for sale - sell your items to other players.
We're working on a few projects - Spleef, Hunger Games, and PvP arenas are all on the list as players offer to help. We've had them all in the past but we changed hosts and reset the maps not long ago. Plenty of open land available, and the server is rarely more than half full.

There isn't a guarantee that there is not going to be any swearing. That is just the nature of the web. I have no idea what you mean by means of "factions" as I've in no way obvious or heard of any such factor in Minecraft. Most Minecraft servers are free to play on. The one I presently play on is over on the Extralife website.
