Did anyone else read the Yahoo News story on brides email?
On the home page of Yahoo in those little boxes you scroll across to ready news stories is a story of the Ultimate bridezilla. It outlined to her 10 "lovely friends" their duties as bridesmaids. They are expected to attend a wedding in Vail in Aug, a bachelorette party in Vegas and an engagement party in NY or CT along with other thing. They alse are required to attend any other wedding events like bridal showers. There are more requirements. If they can't agree by the end of the week they are to let her know so she can cut them from the list. If I were in this wedding party that would be it for me! I'd be out just based on the email she sent. Just wondering how you all felt?

I read it, and was absolutely disgusted. She's the reason why women are looked at as crazy Bridezillas during their weddings. Her demands were totally unrealistic! I can't believe someone would be so heartless and inconsiderate towards other human beings like that. "You must come to all parties and gatherings. If you don't, I'm sorry, but I can't have you in my wedding. You will invited as a guest." LAME. I would NEVER kick one of my girls out because they missed a party!
Seriously, I really hope her wedding blows up in her face and that all the girls quit. That still wouldn't be the max that she deserved, but it would be a start...I also can't help but feel badly for the poor guy that's about to be her hubby...GAH!
Well, if she owns her own jet, and so do the bridesmaids, then fine, a jet setter would be able to participate, and since they do not work for a living, taking the time off would be no problem.
But not your average person. Hey,when she gets all negatives in response, she will wake up to the point that her friends are either not able to afford the time and/ or the money to do these things.
I would be declining. And you are right, this is where the term Bridesilla partially anyway came from. the rest is of course, the screaming bride who argues with everyone.
It is nice that the bridal party can help out with shopping and brain storming, but enough is enough. A bride who does these things better pick all already married bridesmaids, because payback for all of it would be a you know what! LOL.
So what is with all the plane hopping? Get more presents that way? Hit up the The relatives in conneticut, might be somebody in Vegas or Vail, too.
Yes I just read it, I was shocked and disgusted. What an entitled b-word, seriously. She is the epitome of what's wrong with the wedding industry. Thankfully only a small amount of women are actually that insane, but it does make women look bad. I agree that I hope ALL her bridesmaids drop out. She obviously is selfish, and has no respect for anyone else.
You know what bugs me the most about stories like that? Every time yahoo runs one of them, they manage to plug theknot.com forums, as if they aren't a cesspool to be avoided at all costs! They mentioned how people in those forums are asking if this should be a newsletter, or do they have a meeting to delegate duties blah blah.
So this gradual internet thing occurs where some people actually start believing it's important to delegate the jobs and financial demands early and often.
Anyway, the responses the person wrote in there cracked me up!
I read it and was beyond appalled like the true nerve of some people. Weddings that are suppose to be joyful event celebrated with family and friends now has become all about glitz and glamour and getting the most expensive dress of cake and have lost their true meaning. I;m glad that One of the bridesmaids too time to express her true feelings to the bride about her lack of class and consideration for her bridesmaid and other people in regards to her wedding
