What's the mangiest item of clothing you have...?

that you still wear on a regular basis? Why do you think you've kept it so long?

For me, it's a John Lennon t-shirt that I bought when he was still alive! The graphics are barely visible anymore, the collar is frayed, and there's a sizeable hole in the left armpit...but since he was killed...I just haven't been able to bring myself to toss it.

I still wear an old gray sweat shirt with paint all over it. I'm an artist and I wear this to protect my better clothes when I'm painting in my studio.

I don't have any scruffy/mangy clothing. I buy virtually all my clothes (except underwear) from charity shops. I always buy those which look almost new and which I know I will wear often. When I feel like a change I give them away to be re-sold to another charity shop fan and I buy something else. That way I get great value for money but never have any so badly worn that they are only fit for the rag bag.

A 15-year old T-shirt from the Rose Rock Festival in Oklahoma, it was my favorite shirt for years and I wear it around the house about once a week....needs to go at some point.

I have a black sweatshirt that I paid $5 for years ago. It's faded, has a few stains and rips but it is SO comfy!

I also have a Michigan State sweatshirt my sister gave me in 1960. I COULD wear it but I am afraid it would disintegrate before my eyes. I have a pair of Wrangler jeans that I bought 46 years ago but here is NO way i could fit into them!

Some of my moth-eaten wool sweaters look pretty shabby. . I need to get a new sewing machine, but the good ones are so expensive. With a sewing machine, I can use my socks-without-partners to make patches to stitch onto the wrong side of sweaters & then zig-zag around the holes. I used to do a pretty good job at that sort of thing.
