Question about a 2005 Dodge Dakota, 4WD?

I have a four wheel drive 2005 Dodge Dakota. Is it possible to get the oil pan off the thing without removing the front axle? The manuals haven't been much help as they group this vehicle with others and give a generic answer. Can I lift the engine up enough off its mounts to get that oil pan off?

The easiest way is to drop the front differential . The other way you have to remove the transmission and t-case and still pull the engine up . The front diff. drops out fairly easy .

everybody is so out of touch with familiar that they don't are attentive to it fairly is each bit as sturdy as synthetic. the only element you're able to do is replace your oil on a prevalent foundation and shop your air filter out replaced which permits shop the oil sparkling. I even have owned and operated 3 speedy lubes for 18 years now and that i've got seen and heard approximately each thing. some guy will are available and elect synthetic oil and the full time he's in he brags how he can get 300k miles on his vehicle with synthetic. the subsequent vehicle could have 300k miles on it and the customer is making use of familiar oil. factor is do not waste your funds synthetic oil isn't the answer to creating an engine final long preventative upkeep is the considerable.

If you can lift the engine high enough, you may as well take it out. It's 50/50. If you take out the axle, you have the steering gear as well as suspension components with it. Why do you need to pull the oil pan? Did you crush it?
