log_5 (x) is the the number that, when raising 5 to it, gives x.
So by definition
5^log_5(x) = x

Log_2(2^x) is the number that you have to raise 2 to, to get 2^x..... So again, by definition, it is x.

5^log₅x = x
log₂2^x = x log₂2 = x
