Are whole grain bagels good for you?
I just looked how much calories 1 bagel is (260) and that seems high to me because I want to eat that plus 2 egg whites (60 calories)

Yes, but only if you think fat people are healthy.

I ate two bagels that weren't whole grain today (with PB&J). I enjoyed them and fit the calories within my caloric allowance for the day. To this end, I would say that these two bagels were good for me in the sense that I enjoyed them and that they also gave my body fuel.
On a side note, I find the "whole grain" thing to be a bit suspect. It has become an advertising ploy that has lost much credibility in my eyes.

No. Grains are not something people should be eating. As a general rule, if you cant eat something in its natural form you probably shouldn't be eating it at all. More info here

And eat the yolks. The whites have the protein and the yolks have the rest of the nutrients.
