scaring/dark areas around the lips?

ive have suffered from eczema since i was little an a few years ago i developed cold sore like areas in the corners of my mouth i then went to the doctors and they gave me (Hydrocortisone) cream and that made the rough cold sore areas clear up but they left dark areas around my mouth. the area there is not rough but smooth.

-i've tried bio oil for a month or two and thats some what brightened up the apperance but by very little
-i've tried Garnier Dark Spot Corrector for a few weeks i didnt really notice much of a difference (http://www.superdrug.com/face/garnier-dark-spot-corrector/invt/480451/&bklist=)

is it a scar? will it stay for life? any cures?

The link doesn't work , but I think people using lemon juice or white vinegar to lighten the skin.
Most probably there will no scar be left and it should clear all in time.
The best is seeing an dermatologist, he should know how to treat it and finally to get rid of it..
