Good Youtube Introductory Video?

First off, I am a teenager (almost 17) but not one of those annoying, preppy, no brains one. I watch a lot of beauty guru's from Michelle Phan to some less known ones but are still kind of big. I would like to be a form of beauty guru, but I wanna take it a step further and be more unique. I want to make a guru channel for those people who HATE to be the same as everyone else, who maybe are a little nerdy or like art instead of cheerleading, have more statement pieces and those statement pieces say have a cartoon character or movie logo instead of just be a slightly brighter color. Any thoughts, and any more advice?

P.S. : I do have a decent to high quality camera, and have acting skills (from being on stage and what not)

Start making videos. Start with easy tutorials and keep them short and sweet! Then edit them using iMovie (Mac) Or Windows Movie Maker (PC). Make sure to have good lighting (sunlight or a bright inside light) and good audio. Speak clearly and loudly. Plan your videos out ahead of time. Keep them at around 6-8 minutes (or shorter), and try not to ramble, but instead be to the point and discuss the video topic. Try to make a new video every one to two weeks.

Tag your videos when you upload them, and fill in the description box. This is how new viewers will find your videos, because they will find them through searching YouTube. Use a descriptive title as well. So instead of "My Hair Routine," you should use, "My Curly Hair Wet Styling Routine for Shiny, Defined Curls."

Be nice to people when they leave nice comments. Make sure to reply to comments and answer questions. Ignore negative comments. Everyone gets them on youtube, and the best policy is to not reply to them. If they bother you, delete the comments. And if they leave multiple negative comments on your videos, just block them.

Make a blog or maybe a Facebook account so that your subscribers can keep updated with the latest news and videos! Do this once you've accumulated a lot of subscribers.
