What should I do after receiving an unused pocket bike that sat in a garage for three years?
My neighbor gave me his pocket bike that sat in his garage for three years. Of course it has collected lots of dust and dirt. I cleaned the outside body but not the engine or any of the mechanical parts. The bike runs but not as fast as I remembered. I use a 50:1 oil gas ratio. Should I have cleaned the engine? Or what could I do to make it run like new?

Simple things; Replace / Clean the spark plug, Drain the fuel completely and replace with new, Clean / Replace the air filter, Fuel filter may also need replacing.
Next, if you have the experience;
Remove the carburettor and clean it, with suitable carb cleaner. Try not to spray it on any rubber parts though as it is quite corrosive. Many people use compressed air alongside the cleaner, to blow out any dirt that may have clogged up the passages. It's also good to blow through the jets, clearing out any dirt inside them.
