What should I do after receiving an unused pocket bike that sat in a garage for three years?

My neighbor gave me his pocket bike that sat in his garage for three years. Of course it has collected lots of dust and dirt. I cleaned the outside body but not the engine or any of the mechanical parts. The bike runs but not as fast as I remembered. I use a 50:1 oil gas ratio. Should I have cleaned the engine? Or what could I do to make it run like new? Also the engine is 49cc.

Just ride it. You must have put new fuel in it if you know the ratio.

I think it seems slower because you were 3 years younger when you first rode it. You have grown and gotten heavier.

It could probably do with an oil change and don't forget to lube the chain.
