What should be done about the dying enviroment?

All natural and technological processes proceed in such a way that the availability of the remaining energy decreases. In all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves an isolated system the entropy of that system increases. Energy continuously flows from being concentrated to becoming dispersed spread out, wasted and useless. New energy cannot be created and high grade energy is being destroyed. An economy based on endless growth is unsustainable.

The fundamental law of thermodynamics will placed fixed limits on technological innovation and human advancement. In an isolated system the entropy can only increase. A species set on endless growth is unsustainable.

You are trying to sound sophisticated but you sound silly. Why would thermodynamics place limits on people? Besides, we intend to expand into space.

nothing can be done . atmospheric CO2 has hit 400 ppm . we are passed the point of no return . the earth will go into a irreversible , permanent greenhouse effect . we have at best 2 decades before the seas boil off into space and humanity turns to dust .

We need to keep the population to where it's at. Replace fossil fuels, plant more, and conserve. There are other things to do, but that's a start.
