How bad will this kill my hair?

My hair naturally is around medium brown, although lately I've been dying it bright red (box dye.) I want to go back to my natural color but also have blonde ombre going down to the ends. I'm getting this professionally done, but I know they will have to strip the very faded red, and this will be the first time my hair will ever have been bleached. How bad do you think it will be?

Well bleach does damage your hair quite a bit. If you get it done professionally it may minimize the damage, but it will still have damage. You'll just have to take care of your hair differently, making sure to deep condition it with deep conditioner, or at-home treatments such as oil treatments.
