Can I take Clonidine at night?

I'm using it for adult ADHD. It's cheaper than Adderall (which I did well on, I just can't afford it). Clonidine makes me feel very drunk. Like stumbling, slurring, taking off your glasses to see better drunk. I can't work like that.
The instructions say to take one a day (I'm on 0.1mg, if it matters). but doesn't say when. Can I take it at night before bed and it still work right?

I was diagnosed at ten. But I'm just now getting treatment, since I got worse with age. I have tons of coping skills, but don't know much about the medication options. I've googled Clonidine, but it doesn't really answer my question and the doctor's office is being unhelpful.

At night is the best time according to this article:

"Clonidine is increasingly used in conjunction with stimulants to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), for which it is administered in late afternoon or evening for sleep."

Then in the morning have some coffee to wake you up and relieve some of the zonky symptoms you are having. "This drug may cause lightheadedness, dry mouth, dizziness and constipation. Clonidine may also cause hypotension." Hypotension is low blood pressure - drink more water with it.
