No real value, honestly. As the others have said, it's probably 40+ years old, and probably worth around $100 if it's in excellent condition. If it's in good condition, $70. In poor but serviceable condition, maybe $50.

If it doesn't work, or is badly rusted, it might be worth $20 for someone who wants to plug the barrel with concrete, clean up the metal, and hang it on the wall as a decoration.

An H&R 16-gauge single-shot? I'll just take a wild-assed guess that it's at least 40 years old and might be worth $75 to $100 only because 16's haven't been very popular for quite a few years now. Of course, the condition will make a big difference.

common brand. nothing special.
harrington & richardson arms co made inexpensive shotgun, rifles and handguns until 1986. in 1988 H&R 1871 revived the brand and continued making inexpensive single shot shotguns, rifles and pump-action shotguns.

in very good condition your 16 ga is worth $120. average condition- worn and with a few dings & nicks on stock, $75-$100.

the (old) H&R ued a date code system that can determine year of manufacture. first letter can indicate year, I know P = 1954
