Can anyone tell me about these primers?

I went to a yard sale and the guy had a sealed box of Winchester #1 1/2 primers for sale. He wouldn't let me open the box to look at them and there was another guy waiting for me to put them down so i bought them. 5000 for $75.00 dollars. I opened the box and they are in yellow boxes with red lettering that say Staynless(spelled that way) primers. Does anyone know how old they might be and if they would still be good to use? The boxes and the primers are in like new condition.

I just can't recall ever seeing primers in a box like these are. I've been reloading quite a few years and all I recall seeing are the blue box winchester primers. I was just curious if anyone had an idea how old they might be.

WSP #1-1/2 - 108 Small Regular Pistol
WSPM #1-1/2M - 108 Small Magnum Pistol

You got a steal, around her they are $35-$40/1000 adn I haven't seen any since Feb. If they were stored in a dry place they should still be good, I'd load 'em and shoot 'em.

As long as they appear to be ok, they probably are. Age doesn't matter. You got a great price for those. Now-a-days, typically, you would pay about 35-$40 per thousand.

Those are pretty old non-corrosive primers. '50's vintage maybe.
I have trouble remembering details that far back.
Still ought to work though.

these are small pistol primers. as long as there isn't an "M" at the end then it would be small magnum pistol.
