I need my GED, I'm totally lost, and discouraged.?

I am 20 years of age, and my parents got divorced when i was very young, and my mother had to get a full time job to support us, so my brothers and i had to try and school ourselves.. Needless to say, I do not have any kind of high school diploma.

I know i need, and want terribly to get my GED so i can finally get my life moving, I have so many career opportunities right now, and all that is stopping me is a lack of a diploma, but i have no idea where to start, and i feel like I just keep going in circles looking on the internet.
Someone Please help! Greatly appreciated.. More than you know.

Stop dwelling in the negative. Instead of feeling discouraged, take action. Most school systems offer a ged class in the evening. Call around. In the scheme of your life, a ged is the last thing to worry about or let hold u back.  There is no shame in a ged. Absolutely none. Get a book and start studying. Believe me, I am twice your age, so I can tell you that no one really gives a **** where u got a high school degree. U had some challenges growing up, but your life path does not need to suffer because of it. Get moving and catch up. And get yourself college education. Dont resign yourself in life. You are lacking confidence and belief in yourself. U r somebody. Dont let setbacks in life hold u down.

Sign up to take the test, its usually over a week or something so you take some classes then take the tests at the end or if its just the test and they don't offer the short class thing before hand then buy a book that they make for the GED test and just sign up and take the test. I think it costs like 30$ or something to take the test, its kind of expensive and I don't know how much the book would be but the sooner you get your GED the sooner you can move on with your life.
