I am going to have to substitute Novalog for Apidra?

I am on apidra and I am out, my doctors office did dot call me back when I called looking for samples, I have a patient assistance request in with the manufacture and it should be available next week, I have a pen of Novalog that is my roommate's, do I substitute 1 unit for i unit?

Apidra, glutamine/lisine insulin is quick acting insulin
Novolog, aspartic acid insulin, is quick acting insulin.

The effects can be similar. However, it is not sure they will be the same, so anyway measure your blood sugar before every dose of Novolog.

Use a new needle on the pen because of biohazard reasons.
