What is this? (pic attached)?

I found this at a garage sale and was hoping that maybe it was worth something...? It looked cool anyway...
The picture isn't very good quality, but it's on a gold colored chain and on the top of the thing it says "STVART" or maybe it's "STUART." I'm not sure but then on the right side is a lion standing on its back legs and on the other side is a horse or maybe a unicorn(?) standing on its back legs. I say unicorn because when I googled "Stvart", it showed coat of arms emblems that looked almost identical to this with a few differences and it was unicorn. I haven't come across anything that could help me figure out what this means or is or if its worth anything so I was hoping you guys could help. Thanks!

Put this question into Arts - Visual Arts. Although it's probably about Royalty, I don't think that people in here will know. Not sure but I don't think so. - Good luck! It looks very old that chain!

Or google a serious arts dealer in the UK (not US) and ask him. Or ask at a University near you. Might be the most honest ones.

That is the coat of arms of the Royal House of Stuart. The the crowned lion represents the royalty and strength of the dynasty and the unicorn which has a coronet around its neck represents the people of britian united under the stuarts (there is a version of the crest which represents union with scotland)

It is just a necklace using the Stuart arms as motif. In order to find out the piece's worth, take it to a JEWELER for appraisal. It is only worth the amount of gold used. It is unlikely to be a piece of any historical significance.

It is a souvenir...... probably picked up long ago at a tourist shop.....maybe in Scotland, maybe not.
It's not gold so the monetary value is very little.

Buff it up with a little Silver polish & see what happens.
At the very least you LIKE it so that's all that matters.
Highly unlikely it belonged to Mary Queen of Scotts..... or anyone else of that ilk.
