Sword Art Online. It's about a guy named Kirito and he and a bunch of other people get stuck in this virtual world where you basically level up by defeating bosses and he and this girl named Asuna are basically in love.... I'm not sure you'd like it, if you don't like action, but Kirito is pretty powerful at swords.
DBZ series. It's sort of romantic...Not really, but it's awesome. The only parts that are romantic is when Bulma and Vegeta get married, Chi-chi and Goku married, and Videl and Gohan get married... If you want to know about Dragon Ball Z, there are many sagas and it would take forever to list what happened. Here are some key bad guys though, buu... omega shenron, cell, super 17
