Is Girl In Landscape by Jonathan Lethem a young adult or adult book?
I'm assigned to read a science fiction or fantasy book for a class. I started Girl in Landscape. It was in the adult section of the library but I'm wondering if the book would be considered YA because it's short and the protagonist is a teenaged girl.
I'm asking because the book for this assignment is supposed to be adult level books. The teacher considers reading YA books to be cheating.
Would you consider this book to be adult or YA?
